Galveston County Risk Management services enhance efforts to provide a safe and healthy environment for our employees and members of the public. It provides a source of guidance and training relative to Occupational Safety and Health, Regulatory Compliance and Risk/Hazard Analysis to maintain state and governmental compliance and control potential losses.

Mission Statement

Our mission is to minimize the County’s exposure to loss, control costs and promote a safe work environment. Risk Management works to fulfill its mission through the proactive use of expertly crafted insurance programs, comprehensive safety education and training, and detailed loss control techniques. Through fire and emergency evacuation plans, general rules for equipment operation, driving regulations, and drug-free initiatives, our County continuously improves the conditions in which services are rendered to the public.
