Our grant funded transportation program is offered to seniors 60 years or older that meet annual eligibility requirements. To learn if you meet the requirements of this program call us at 409-770-6251.

The H-GAC funded transportation program allows us to provide transport to and from our senior centers for eligible participating members only. This service is for recreational and enrichment activities only. In addition, we also make planned trips for participating seniors to local grocery stores, post offices, pharmacies, banks, local farmers markets, resale shops and more. Our vehicles come complete with a wheelchair lift and curb to curb service whereas our drivers can assist participants stepping on and off their curb. If you require assistance getting to and from the curb, please ensure that you are accompanied by a companion to assist you. Home visits with our drivers will be scheduled ahead of time for those with wheelchairs or limited mobility to determine safest method for transport.  Funding for the transportation program is provided by the Houston-Galveston Area Council and Texas Health & Human Services Commission. Transportation Enrichment Program (Bus Reservation Information)

The Transportation Enrichment Program (TEP) is offered to Galveston County groups or organizations with senior citizens 55 or older in need of transportation services for their activities and social outings. We have a 28-passenger bus, and the driver is provided with your reservation fee.

TEP Driver - Letitia Williams

Letitia has been with the County for 8 ½ years. She comes with more than 20 years of commercial driving experience. She loves having the responsibility of providing recreational, social and enrichment trips to senior citizen groups and organizations. It brings her joy to provide convenient and safe transportation services to the seniors throughout her County. Letitia has a passion for driving but most of all its her love for seniors that keeps her striving to provide exceptional service. She looks forward to adding years of memorable experiences and adventures to the lives of our valued senior citizens.

• Out of County Destination: $300.00
