It is the policy of the Galveston County to invest its public funds in a manner which will provide the highest reasonable investment return with the maximum security while meeting the daily cash flow requirements of the County and conforming to all state statues governing the investment of public funds. The primary state statute controlling the investment of public funds is the Public Funds Investment Act (Texas Government Code, Chapter 2256, the "Act").

The Investment Committee and Galveston County Commissioner's Court will review and adopt the County's Investment Policy and investment strategies not less than annually in accordance with the Act.
