Full time offices (Galveston, League City, Santa Fe and Texas City) open Monday through Thursday 7:30 am to 5:30 pm and Friday from 8:00 am to Noon.  We close all County Holidays and for an Annual Staff Development Day of training on Columbus Day each year (October 14th in 2024).

The Friendswood Satellite office opens each Thursday from 7:30 am to 5:30 pm (closed from Noon to 1:00 pm for lunch) and Friday from 8:00 am to Noon (if City of Friendswood is open to the public).  The Crystal Beach Satellite office opens the 3rd Tuesday of every month from 7:30 am to 4:30 pm (closed from 11:30 - Noon for lunch).

Sheriff Sales are conducted online the first Tuesday of each month beginning at 10 am (unless it is a holiday then the following business day).  See Property Tax/Sheriff Sale link at left.

Volunteer Deputy Registration Training - Third Friday each month at 10:00 am in the Commissioners Courtroom, first floor of the County Courthouse, 722  21st Street ( Moody Avenue), Galveston.  NOT HELD DECEMBER IN EVEN NUMBERED YEARS.  If the third Friday occurs on a County holiday, the class will be held the fourth Friday.  Call Voter Registration Department for additional information.
