Property Fraud Alert 

According to the FBI Uniform Crime Report, property and mortgage fraud is the fastest growing white-collar crime. Galveston County Clerk Dwight D. Sullivan and his office are here to help with a free alert service, Property Fraud Alert.  

This new service is available to all property owners in the county. Subscribers can include several names, personal or business, to be monitored for possible fraudulent activity. 

They will be notified by the method of their choosing when the name(s) submitted is found on a document recorded in the Galveston County Clerk’s Office, allowing them to quickly respond to a possible fraud.
