Dirt Request Form

Dirt request forms must be electronically filled out and signed before any dirt can be dumped onto your property. The form gives us permission to access your property when we are excavating in the area.

Mowing Schedule

Mowing of the drainage structures and rights-of-ways is done normally from Spring to late Fall. We begin in one area of the County and then follow a route that circles through all unincorporated areas of Santa Fe, Dickinson, Freddiesville, and Alvin.  

This process usually takes 6-8 weeks depending on weather and equipment available.

Drainage Spraying

Spraying of drainage ditches and channels takes place throughout the year to control the growth of weeds and grasses in the county’s maintenance area. These areas are road side ditches and outfall channels that are not maintained by the adjacent property owner.

The Road and Bridge Department interchange between products; to target specific vacation that will impede the flow of storm water or obstruct the line of sight of vehicles on the roadways.   Property owner adjacent to roadside ditches can request to be placed on the “No spray list”.
