To maximize the utilization of tax payer's dollars the Galveston County Social Services department no longer provides Financial Assistance and Guardianship services in-house. The County has partnered with Non-Profit Organizations to provide these services for us.

Guardianship Services

Galveston County has contracted with Friends For Life to provide Guardianship services. Friends For Life serves multiple Texas counties as guardian when a Judge determines that an individual lacks capacity and there is no family member qualified and/or willing to serve.
